The SheROX Charlotte Triathlon is a sprint distance race. The course begins and ends in Latta Plantation Park.
Swim
The swim is an out and back layout that takes place in Mountain Island Lake. Outbound and inbound swimmers are separated by about 50 yards to avoid head-on collisions. The water temperature at Latta is expected to be at least 82 degrees, making wetsuits usage illegal per USAT rules. USAT officials will take the official water temperature reading on race morning and an announcement regarding wetsuit usage will be made at least one hour prior to the race start time.

After exiting the transition area, participants will ride the bike course which is a 17 mile loop that takes place on two-lane roads that are open to vehicular traffic. Bike participants are encouraged to be alert and careful. There are no big climbs, but the course includes a series of rolling hills and a few fairly long (but not steep) hills.
